May Knit-a-longs

This month we will once again host two knit-a-longs. You may choose to knit one or both of the beautiful pieces, and each knit-a-long project you complete this month will earn you an entry into a drawing for a special gift.

The Pure Linen Lace Scarf by Lisa Richardson explores all the shades of Rowan's Pure Linen yarn. You will love the soft sheen and the relaxed drape of this beautiful scarf. This knit-a-long will meet on Tuesday mornings in May (10am - 12pm).

The amazing Coastal Capelet can be worn draped over one shoulder or as a cape and will keep you comfortable on brisk spring days or in chilly air conditioned spaces this summer. You choose when to wear it ~ all we know is that you will want to wear this beautiful piece often! This knit-a-long will meet on Wednesday mornings in May (10am - 12pm).

Congratulations to our April knit-a-long drawing winner, Lisa Heath, pictured here with her beautiful Iris Shell sweater. Amazing work, Lisa!

For those who are not familiar with KALs (Knit-a-longs) they work like this: They are set "Sit and Stitch" times during which you can work with fellow knitters to complete your project - a KAL is not a class. There is no charge for the KAL with the purchase of all supplies from the shop.

May Sit & Stitch Schedule

All Sit & Stitch meetings will take place at the shop again this month. Each night we will have our raffle and provide a light meal or hors d'oeuvres.

Wednesdays, May 7, 14, 21, 28 (5pm - 8pm)

Please note that the $5 fee helps to cover all expenses for our Sit & Stitch night.

For anyone not familiar with what goes on at Sit & Stitch ~ here's the scoop: Join us for a couple of hours of knit and/or crochet time with your Yarn Nook friends. It is a great time to share ideas and show off finished projects.

May Special

Take and additional 25% off all yarns on the sale wall.
Winding will be an additional charge of $1.00 per skein.

Bunco at the Nook

Our first Yarn Nook Bunco night on April 21st was a great success! We played the game, laughed, met new friends, ate some great food and laughed some more. Congratulations to all of the night's winners who took home some fun prizes.

We hope you will join us on Monday, May 19th at 6:30pm for our next Bunco night and an evening of fun, friends and laughter. The cost is $15 which covers our night of prizes, "Just Desserts" and beverages, of course. Space is limited for this activity and we must have a minimum of 10 people to play. Please stop by to sign-up and pre-pay so that we can begin to plan our evening.
