Toe Up Socks with "Lesser Evil Pattern" (2 Sessions)

Knitting socks from the toe-up is a great technique to add to your knitting "bag of tricks". You will learn a great versatile cast-on and an interesting and useful method of heel shaping.
(We encourage those enrolled in this class to attend Session 2 on March 11th as well)
Intro to Sock Knitting ~ Cuff Down (2 Sessions)
Monday, March 4th, 6pm - 8pm and Monday, March 11th, 6pm - 8pm
Knit a pair of slipper socks to be felted. With two skeins of worsted weight wool and circular needles, you can learn the basics of sock knitting on a large scale! (The toe-up sock method will also be taught during this class upon request.)
(Prerequisite: You must know how to knit & purl and it is helpful to know how to knit on circular needles. We encourage those registered for this class to attend Session 2 on March 11th as well)
Maddie's Tiny Dress ~ Intro to Short Rows
Tuesday, March 5th, 10am - 12pm
Maddie's is a tiny dress for a baby girl which will also teach you about short rows. This pattern is adorable and can be done in bright colors or pastels. If you don't have a baby to dress, perhaps you will consider donating the finished dress ~ we have suggestions for donation if you need them.
Jo March Mitts ~ Intro to Cables
Tuesday, March 5th, 1pm - 3pm
This pattern is a simple way to learn cables by repeating a simple cable over and over while knitting a beautiful pair of fingerless mitts. You'll learn to knit them on DPNs or with the magic loop method. You may also choose to use a cable needle or the terrific method of cabling without a cable needle which will be taught in the class!
Christmas Stocking ~ Learn the "joggless" join

Now it is time to get your holiday knits "out of the way" and in this class you may even learn something new! This striped Christmas stocking is bright and cheery and it will also teach you to get "joggless joins", which, when you are knitting with stripes is essential.
Day-Lily Jacket ~ Lace knitting (2 Sessions)

This beautiful short sleeve jacket is knit in one piece beginning at the lower back edge, divided at the neck and worked over the shoulders to the bottom fronts. You will learn increases, decreases, and a feather & fan pattern stitch.
Wonderful Wallaby (2 Sessions)

Learn garment knitting with this unisex pattern written for Child size 2 through Adult super-size. The Wallaby is a hooded sweater with built-in hand-warming pouch and placket-type head opening. Learn garment shaping and knitting in the round. Once you see the pattern book, you will have a strong desire to make this sweater!

These beautiful fingerless mitts are a great way to practice knitting in the round and use the entrelac stitch to create an amazing "basketweave" pattern on the cuffs.

The art of fixing your knitting mistakes can be daunting and keep us from completing our creations in a timely fashion. Linda will help you to feel confident about picking up dropped stitches, fixing knitting errors without completely ripping out, TINKing ("backing out" of your knitting one stitch at a time), etc.

Included in your class fee, Linda will be on hand if you have questions to keep you going on the project she helped you get started with. Please go over your patterns and feel free to come by and ask Linda any questions before she leaves town.
