Project Helmetliner Update

Last month we mentioned that we shipped 140 helmetliners and neck gaiters to the troops. We received a thank you from LTC Russell Lewis and would like to share it with you.

Friends & Family at The Yarn Nook,
Thank you very much for the hand knit hats and neck gaiters for my soldiers!
We truly appreciate your support and your prayers as we take off for Afghanistan.

To the Top!!
LTC Russell Lewis

Thanks again to all of you who have knitted helmetliners or donated to the cause. As we have mentioned before, this is an ongoing project for us at Yarn Nook. To further help with our project, Kitty Longman (one of Yarn Nook's owners) has spent the past few Wednesdays in Eunice at the Depot Museum. She is there to hold knitting demonstrations and to teach people to knit helmetliners to contribute. If you are interested in attending one of these meetings in Eunice, please call Yarn Nook to get a schedule of dates and times ~ 593-8558.
